My seconds ear piercings were not healed after more than 6 months, and kept getting inflamed and weeping, and my earlobes were swollen. I had tried gold and titanium earrings, and was cleaning using sterile saline solution. I decided to try plastic earrings and removed all other earrings I was wearing (even the ones in my first ear piercings which I’ve had for years). Within a couple of weeks after swapping out for the plastic earrings, my seconds ear piercings started to heal and stop getting inflamed, and the swelling went down.
